* Low mood and inability to concentrate.

* Feeling sad and tired most of the time.

* Inability to enjoy things that initially used to bring pleasure.

* Irritability or anxiety.

* Withdrawal from family and friends.

* Weight loss or gain.

* Sleeping excessively.

* Thoughts of death or suicide.

* Pessimism or low self-esteem or feeling of guilt or worthlessness.

* Aches and pains with no medical causes.

* Not wanting to do anything or seeing anybody.

* Isolation and sensitivity to rejection.

* Depression leads to suicide, suicide leads to hell and that is the worst end.

How to Control Depression

* Believe in The Almighty, pray and hope for the best.

* Do social service to please the Almighty and feel better about yourself.

* Pursue whatever hobbies or pastimes that can bring you joy.

* Keep yourself busy as an idle brain is devil's workshop.

* Forget the bad people and remember the good people to keep you happy.

* Learn something that sparks your imagination and creativity.

* Laughter provides a mood boost, watch a comedy or read a funny book.

* Don't stay cooped up at home all day. Go to the park for a brisk walk and go for head and body massage.

* Have a lunch with friends to enjoy the life.

* Invite the loved ones to visit you and keep in touch over the phone.

* Forget the bad past and expect the bright future.

* Forgive others to be forgiven by the Almighty.

* Be realistic. Expecting too much leads to depression.

* Count the plus points of life not the minus points to be happy
